NADINE WILLIS LAUNCHES FIRST SINGLE...

Nadine Willis, Jamaica’s most recognizable supermodel, has embarked on another milestone in her career. From being the focus of the lens of world renowned photographer Mario Testino for French Vogue, to commanding world attention as the only black model to lead a Gucci campaign, the globe’s fastest rising supermodel in history, gets set to break into the music industry and she is taking no prisoners!
Her debut single titled ‘So What?’ was officially released this month on the newly structured, Kingsley Cooper headed, ‘Pulse Music’ label. Relatable, catchy and upbeat, the Grub Cooper production sees Nadine tackling issues close to her own heart. The modern day Cinderella’s hard-hitting lyrics speaks to the virtues of perseverance and finding strength to rise above difficult situations and personal adversities.
According to Nadine, “In life people will always have negative or hurtful things to say about you and sometimes we need a little encouragement to build ourselves back up. ‘So What’ speaks directly to that.
It advises my listeners to shrug off negative energy and rise above destructive people and hard times. You are just as good as anybody else, so tell the haters – ‘SO WHAT’!”
As fierce with mike in hand as she is on the catwalk, the diva of fashion sounds as good as she looks. Willis made guest appearances this month at the Miss Jamaica Universe 2008 Road shows held in Ocho Rios and Mandeville. Having the crowd sing along with the catchy refrain of the single made her smile, she says. Following her engaging stage performances, Nadine was then invited to popular deejay Richie B’s show for her radio play debut on Hot 102FM. Feedback has been positive for the first lady of ‘Pulse Music’.
Now, her name is set on the lips of the industry’s movers and shakers.
Posed and determined to conquer the music industry, bets are being cast that this many time Vogue star will be even more successful as a recording artiste.
